    KNECHT
    
    Miss Gertrude A. Knecht, 96, of West Salisbury died Aug. 7, 1979,
  in Berlin.  Born Aug. 25, 1882, in West Salisbury, daughter of the
  late Michael and Lucinda (Daniels) Knecht.  Also preceded in death by
  a sister, Mrs. Frances Brandler, and five brothers: John, William,
  Joseph, Frank and Harry.  She had made her home with brother, Joseph,
  and his three sons: Sloan, James, and Lawrence.  Also survived by a
  number of nieces and nephews.  Member of St. Michaels Catholic Church
  of West Salisbury and a member of the Third Order of St. Francis. 
  Funeral mass will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Michaels with
  Father Henry L. Joly officiating.  Interment, St. Michaels
  Cemetery.  Friends will be received at the Thomas Funeral Home after
  7 p.m. Wednesday.  A Christian wake service will be held Thursday
  8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
