    JOHN D. KNECHT
    
      John D. "Jack" Knecht, 65, of Abingdon, Md., died Sunday June 21,
  1987 in Good Samaritan Hospital, Baltimore, Md.
      Born in West Salisbury Nov. 16, 1921, he was the son of the late
  John A. and Corinne (Derry) Knecht.
      He was a member of St Michael's Catholic Church.
      Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Mary Rosita Bittinger and Anna
  Mary Knecht, both of Baltimore, Md.
      Friends were received in the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury.
      Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in
  St. Michael's Catholic Church by the Rev. Alphonse Mascherino. 
  Interment, parish cemetery.
