    MRS. BLANCHE KNEPPER
    
      Mrs. Blanche E. Knepper, 74, Markleton RD 1, died Jan. 12 in
  Somerset Community Hospital.
      She was born April 1, 1900, in Stonycreek Township, a daughter of
  the late Samuel J. and Lulu (Fritz) Yoder.  Preceded in death by one
  son in infancy; one sister, Mrs. Mabel Berkebile; and two infant
  brothers.
      Survived by her husband, Royal W. Sr.; and the following
  children; Mrs. M. J. (Ruth) Saylor, Rockwood RD 2; Miles, Royal Jr.,
  and Mrs. Orville (Elizabeth) Brougher, all of Markleton RD 1; Mrs.
  Maynard (LaFerne) Saylor of Rockwood RD 3; Mrs. Pauline Hartsock,
  Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Blair (Bernice) Carbaugh, Lock Haven; Clifford
  of Somerset RD 4; Mrs. Stephen (Roberta) Snee of Greensburg; 32
  grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
      Was a sister of: Bruce Yoder, Friedens RD 1; Mrs. Ira (Elsie)
  Barron of Friedens; Mrs. Orville (Violet) Shockey, Friedens RD 1;
  Mrs. Clarence (Gladys) Walker of Somerset RD 5.
      Member of the Somerset Church of the Brethren, Women's Fellowship
  of the church, and the C.I.C. Sunday School Class; and Church of the
  Brethren Home Auxiliary, Windber.  Her passing breaks a marriage
  union of 57 years.
      Friends were received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where
  funeral service was conducted Jan. 15, the Rev. Paul R. White
  officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
