Johnson, Berlin, at 1 a.m. Monday, October 25th. She was sick for a long time and was confined to her bed the last 16 weeks. Mrs. Knepper was the daughter of Jacob and Mary Dull Critchfield, of Milford Township, and was born March 22, 1871. She was a person of unusual intelligence and charming personality. She taught school in Somerset County for six years before her marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Knepper's life was one of unusual happiness. Two daughters were born to them - Blanche, wife of Clarence Reiman, and Elizabeth, wife of Walter Johnson. Seven grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Knepper was a member of the Brotherton Church of the Brethren, and lived a fine christian life. She was a charter member of the Second Society of Farm Women in which organization she took an active part. Funeral services were held at the Johnson Funeral Home Thursday at 3 p.m., with Rev. Roy S. Forney officiating, assisted by Rev. S. M. Whetstone of the Berlin Brethren Church. Burial in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Berlin. Meyersdale Republican, October 28, 1943
