Born Nov. 17, 1923 in Lincoln Township. Daughter of John Calvin and Anna Gertrude (Stahl) Maust. Preceded in death by parents, step-mother Cora "Goldie" Schmucker, husband Miles J. Knepper, grandchildren, Dean Eric Knepper and Rhonda Lynne Koshewitz, and brothers, Ernest and William Maust. Survived by children, Ronald, married to Cheryl, Knepper of Leola, Phyllis, married to Robert, Koshewitz of Hollsopple, Paul, married to Grace, Knepper of Dallastown, Robert, married to Mary Knepper of Lancaster, and Lee, married to Brenda Knepper of Red Lion. Thirteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Julia, Katie and Kyle. She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Somerset where she was a deaconess and communion helper for nine years. She was employed by Rockwood Undergarment Co. and the Somerset State Hospital from which she retired after 21 years. She was an avid lover of flowers and gave them to people regularly. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Somerset Christian and Missionary Church, Rev. James Vandervort officiating. There will be visitation at the church one-half hour prior to service. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Daily American, October 30, 2001 [K0856]
