  KNEPPER
  
  Royal W. Knepper, 91, Maple Mountain Manor, formerly Markleton RD 1,
  died Dec. 14, 1988, at the manor.  Born Oct. 28, 1897, in Beachdale,
  son of the late Obadiah and Ida (Brant) Knepper.  Preceded in death
  by wife, the former Blanche Yoder in 1975; one daughter, Bernice
  Carbaugh; one son, Robert, in infancy; three great-grandchildren;
  three brothers and five sisters.  Survived by these children: Mrs. M.
  J. (Ruth) Saylor, Rockwood RD 2; Miles J., married to the former Emily
  Maust, Markleton RD 1; Mrs. Orville (Elizabeth) Brougher, Markleton RD
  1; Mrs. Maynard (LeFerne) Saylor, Rockwood RD 3; Mrs. James (Pauline)
  Hostetler, Palmyra, Pa.; Royal Jr., married to the former Faye Rush,
  Markleton RD 1; Clifford J., married to the former Mary Jane Miller,
  Somerset RD 4; and Mrs. Roberta Stemmler, wife of Dr. Ronald
  Stemmler, Greensburg; also half-brother, Drummond Shober, New Jersey;
  32 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, 9
  great-great-grandchildren.  Member of Somerset Church of the
  Brethren, and former member of Somerset Retired Chorus.  Friends will
  be received from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday in the WILBUR D. MILLER
  FUNERAL HOME, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m.,
  with the Revs. Ron Beachley and Roger Forty officiating.  Interment,
  Somerset County Memorial Park.
