  RUTH C. KNEPPER
  
    Ruth C. Knepper, 83, Berlin RD 1, died Jan. 21, 1984, at home.
    She was born Dec. 11, 1900, in Meyersdale, daughter of William W.
  and Annie (Miller) Cupp.
    She was preceded in death by parents; husband, John L., in 1956;
  two brothers, two sisters and an infant sister.
    She is survived by these children: Leon, Berlin RD 1; Mrs. Paul
  (Louise) Long, Bedford; and Edward C., Somerset; 8 grandchildren and
  six great-grandchildren; a foster son, Robert Mowery; two foster
  grandchildren and four foster great-grandchildren; also survived by a
  brother, Samuel J. Cupp, Berlin RD 1.
    He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church and she taught Sunday
  School for many years.  Also was a former music teacher and taught
  school in Somerset after attending Juniata College.  Also member of:
  Pius Spring Women's Club, Second Society of Farm Women, Women Aglow
  and Wills Grange.  She completed an extended trip to the Holy Land
  last spring.
    Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, where
  services were held with the Rev. Larry L. Deffenbaugh officiating. 
  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
