  KNIFFIN
  
  Alice (Sicheri) Kniffin, 85, of Swissvale, formerly of Somerset
  County, died July 31, 1998 in John J. Kane Regional Nursing Home,
  Pittsburgh.  Born in Somerset County, March 13, 1913, a daughter of
  the late Camelo and Silvia (Zanoni) Sicheri.  Preceded in death by
  her husband, Norman A. Kniffin, Jan. 26, 1964; brothers Tony, Benny,
  Frendo, and Fred, and a sister, Mrs. Rosie Zanoni.  Survived by one
  son, Russell G. of Swissvale; three grandchildren, Pamela Gerthaffer,
  Marcus Kniffin, and Michelle Cromer, and two great-grandchildren
  Maggie and Becky.  Sister of Marie Sebastian of Connecticut.  She
  formerly operated Tiny Tot Day Nursery in Swissvale from 1947-1992. 
  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Robert H.
  Halverson Funeral Home, where wake service will be conducted at 3:45
  p.m.  Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m., Tuesday, in St. Peter's
  Roman Catholic Church.  Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli officiating. 
  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
