Born July 12, 1932, in Doddridge County, W.V., a daughter of Glenda (Wright) Childers and the late Alton Childers. Her husband, William H. "Bill" Knisely, whom she married October 1948, preceded her in death on March 23, 1998. Survived by 3 daughters: Marsha Ann Dettman of Rochelle, Ill.; Mary Jeanette Blayney of Claysville, and Sherri Lynn Glover of Addison; 1 son, William H. "Rusty" Knisely III of West Finley; 2 sisters, Eleanor M. Ireland of West Union, W.V., and Winnie Hackley of Monroe, N.C.; 1 brother, William "Bill" Childers of Suisin City, Calif.; 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Also preceded in death by brother, Alton James Childers Jr. Mrs. Knisely had been a cook for several years at various facilities in Claysville, had been employed as a nurses aid at one of the Washington, Pa. nursing facilities, was a United Methodist by faith, and enjoyed crocheting and reading. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Spurgeon Funeral Home in West Union, W.Va., with Rev. Mark Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Masonic Memorial Park Cemetery, West Union. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
