"Bill" Knisely, Jr., 68, of Fraction Road, West Finley, Pa., formerly of Addison, died at 2:50 p.m. Monday, March 23, 1998 at his residence following, an extended illness. Born, April 24, 1929, in West Union, W.Va., a son of the late William H. Knisely Sr. and Mary Edna (Holbert) Knisely. His wife, Gwendolyn (Childers) Knisely, whom he married in October 1948, survives, along with 3 daughters: Marsha Ann Dettman of Rochelle, Ill.; Mary Janet Blayney of Claysville, Pa., and Sherri Lynn Glover of Addison; a son, William H. "Rusty" Knisely of West Finley, Pa.; 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by one brother, Gerald E. Knisely, and one sister, Beatrice Wolverton. Retired in 1986 from the Columbia Gas Co. of Buckhannon with over 38 years of service. Was a member of the Buckhannon Moose Lodge 598, was a Baptist by faith and enjoyed hunting and golf. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Spurgeon Funeral Home in West Union, W.Va., with Rev. Mark Wood officiating. Burial in Masonic Memorial Park, West Union. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Daily American, March 28, 1998 [K0895]
