  ALICE C. KNOELL
  
    Alice C. Knoell, 92, of Confluence, died July 17, 1976, in the
  Somerset County Home for the Aged.
    Born Aug. 13, 1883, in Friendsville, Md., she was a daughter of the
  late George and Susan (Staup) Cover.
    She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Clarence R.
  Fichtner, and her second husband, the Rev. Henry Knoell, a daughter,
  Virginia, three brothers and three sisters.
     She is survived by two sons: Bliss Fichtner of Confluence; and
  Clarence Fichtner of Dayton, Ohio; a brother Jim Cover of
  Friendsville, Md.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence
  where funeral services were held July 20 with the Rev. Olaf N.
  Carlsen officiating.  Interment, Turkeyfoot Baptist Cemetery.
