Knopsnyder, 77, of Markleton died Nov. 20, 1997, at his residence. Born April 23, 1920, in Markleton. Son of the late James B. and Sarah (Linterman) Knopsnyder. Preceded in death by his first wife, the former Anna Pearl Snyder, in 1982; seven brothers and five sisters. Survived by his wife, the former Velma Hostetler, and the following children: Phillip D. Knopsnyder, married to the former Robin Shumaker; Fred A. Knopsnyder, married to the former Kellee Schardt, and Clay P. Knopsnyder, married to the former Amy Kissinger, all of Somerset; Mark D. Knopsnyder, married to the former Ruth Schrock, of Casselman; Mrs. Charles (Lois) Sinclair, Bakersville, and J.L. Knopsnyder, married to the former Ellen Gyorko, of Rockwood. Also 19 grandchildren, a great-grandson Austin Eugene, and a sister, Betty Thompson, of Markleton. He was a retired coal worker, saw-miller and farmer. Member of, the Rockwood C. & M.A. Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today (Friday) at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood, where funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Pastor Patrick Walsh officiating. Interment, Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
