He was born March 28, 1911, in Black Township, son of James and Sarah (Linterman) Knopsnyder. He was preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Mary Polish; and three brothers. He is survived by these three children: Mrs. John (Joan) Lynch, Boswell RD 1; Mrs. Leroy (Donna) House, Stoystown RD 3; Mrs. Robert (Connie) Jones, Friedens; eleven grandchildren and a great-grandson. He was a brother of: Mrs. Mabel Younkin of New Florence; Ed and Mrs. Irene Tressler, both of Markleton; Mrs. Ethel Growall, Rockwood; Mrs. Delores Welsh, Somerset; Mrs. Samual (Betty) Thompson, Markleton RD 1; Howard, Rockwood RD. Retired coal miner; member of U.M.W.A. Local 998, Tire Hill; and Jenner Rod and Gun Club. Friends were received at the Deaner Funeral Home in Stoystown, where services were conducted with the Rev.
