Knotter, 74, of Somerset RD 1, died Dec. 16, 1981, at Somerset Community Hospital. He was born July 14, 1907, at Indianhead, son of the late Nicholas A. and Alverta (Thorpe) Knotter. Also preceded in death by a brother, Charles, and a sister Margaret Conn, who died Dec. 14. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen Hay; and these brothers and sisters: Leroy of Confluence; Richard of Dublin, Va.; Edward of Rossiter; Mrs. Blair (Sarah) Younkin, Ursina; Mrs. Florence Geyer, Confluence; Mrs. Esther Colflesh, Berlin; Mrs. Charles (Wilma) Irwin, Phoenix, Ariz. He was a member of First Christian Church, Somerset; Somerset Lodge No. 358 F and AM; Pittsburgh Consistory and the Ursina American Legion. He was a veteran of World War II. Friends were received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where services were held with the Rev. Gene Sellers officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
