  KNOTTS
  
  Joseph L. Knotts, 69, Somerset RD 6, died Dec. 18, 1978, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born May 1, 1909, in Coraopolis, son of the late
  Charles and Mary (Trautman) Knotts.  Preceded in death by wife,
  Margaret (Germerodt) Knotts.  Survived by son Larry, Somerset, a golf
  pro at Somerset Country Club; two grandchildren, Melissa and John. 
  Member of American Legion Post 4, Sewickley, Pa.; Retired Officers
  Association, Washington, D.C.; Somerset Country Club; was a ham radio
  operator; veteran of World War II; retired lieutenant colonel with the
  Pennsylvania National Guard for the past 15 years.  The family will
  receive friends today from 2-4 p.m and 7-9 p.m. at the Copeland
  Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Ave., Coraopolis, where services will be held
  Friday at 11 a.m  Donations in his name to the American Cancer Society
  will be appreciated.
