  KNUPP
  
  Calvin L. Knupp, 85, of Somerset, died March 1, 1984, in Johnstown. 
  Born Aug. 24, 1898, in Jefferson Township, son of the late James
  Madison and Ida Belle (Millet) Knupp.  Also preceded in death by a
  son, Fred, brother John and sister Elda Close.  He is survived by his
  wife, the former Gertrude Hechler; and one daughter, Mrs. Delbert
  (Rena) Valentine of Somerset; also seven grandchildren; 19
  great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three
  step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.  Also survived
  by a brother, Ray of Somerset.  A member of the Pike Run Church of
  the Brethren.  Death ends a marriage of 61 years.  Friends will be
  received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Richard E. Hauger
  Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with the
  Rev. Jay Christner officiating.  Interment, New Centerville Cemetery.
