Born April 15, 1915 in Johnstown the son of Hiram Samuel and Annie Barbara (Mackell) Kocher. He is preceded in death by parents, sisters Ethel Lehman and Susan Brown and brother Charles Kocher. Survived by wife, the former Marian Mae Ankney to whom he was married 63 years. Also survived by son Mr. David M. Kocher married to the former Linda Clark of Big Stone Gap, Va. Brother of Mrs. Grace Wolford of Hollsopple, Stanley B. Kocher of Westmont and Mrs. Paul (Helen) Haynes of Davidsville. He was a 1931 graduate of Ferndale High School, veteran of U.S. Army Air Corps, retired in 1977 with 41 years of service as a Roll Turner for Bethlehem Steel Corp. Johnstown Works. Member of Lodge 538 F & AM Johnstown and Jaffa Shrine. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Charles F. Olson officiating. Interment, Somerset Memorial Park.
