Jr. 02/24/05 Daily American Paul W. Kochis Jr., 60, Uniontown, passed away peacefully Feb. 23, 2005, at home. His loving wife, darling daughter and loving sister-in-law, Rita, were at his side. Born Jan. 2, 1945, in Lamberton, son of the late Paul William Kochis and Helen Jane Burke Kochis. Paul is survived by his loving and devoted family who loved him dearly. Survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Rose Marie Martelli Kochis, his darling daughter, as he called her, Janelle Kochis of Alexandria, Virginia, the Martelli Family, other relatives and numerous friends and neighbors who loved and respected him. He is survived by his loving pet "Spanky" who never left his side during his illness and truly loved him unconditionally. Paul is a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam. A member of the St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, where he served as usher. A graduate of the former German Township High School. Paul retired from the Pennsylvania State Police after 25 years of service, serving at the Somerset Barracks. A member of the Knight of Columbus, Uniontown, VFW Post 47, Catholic War Veterans, AMVETS Post 103, The Faternal Order of Police, American Legion, Masontown, American Legion, Post 51, the Eagles in Somerset and the American Association of State Troopers Inc. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Stephen E. Kezmarsky III Funeral Home, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown. Visitation also Saturday until 8 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held followed by a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown. Interment follows in Sylvan Heights Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded at the graveside
