Pleasant and Alden, N.Y., died Sept. 21, 2001 in Buffalo, N.Y. He was born June 13, 1931 in Mt. Pleasant. A son of the late Walter and Catherine (Pockron) Kocinksi Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude M. Jaworski and Dorothy Harbaugh, and a great-nephew Christopher P. Burrell. Walter is survived by two nieces, Catherine Harbaugh of Scottdale, and Mrs. Betsy Halvorsen and husband Kim of Donegal; a nephew Alvin Jaworski and wife Cookie of Scottdale; two great-nephews, Jason P. Burrell and wife Lori of Westminster, Md., and Gregory Jaworski of Scottdale; one great-niece Jennifer J. Burrell of Stahlstown; a great-great-niece Nicole A. Burrell, and a great-great-nephew, Nicholas A. Burrell. He will be missed by family and many friends from New York and Pa. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a retired truck driver. He was an avid ham radio operator. A memorial service will be private. Interment in Transfiguration Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. Daily American, September 26, 2001 [K0973]
