Kogut, 74, of 241 School, Ave., Jerome, formerly of Nanty Glo, died Aug. 19, 1981, at home. Born Sept. 11, 1906, in Johnstown, son of Kazmierz and Anelia (Marhefka) Kogut. Preceded in death by parents, brother, Michael and sister, Julia. Survived by a son, John, daughter, Mrs. Helen Obajtek, both of Ohio; and several grandchildren. Brother of Mary, widow of Stanley Rycyk; Sophia, wife of Peter Kososki; Anna, widow of John Budzina; Stanley, married to the former Ann Pokos; and George M., all of Jerome; and Joseph, married to the former Rose Walfrysiak, Johnstown; also 14 nieces and nephews. Member of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Jerome, Nanty Glo Local 1386 UMWA. Retired from Bethlehem Mines Corp. Friends received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where wake-rosary service will be held 7 p.m. Friday.
