All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ CAROLINE GEORG KOLB Mrs. Caroline Kolb, at the age of 90 years, 9 days, died June 5, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Melchor Kolb, at Cove, Md. She was born May 24, 1858, at Accident, Md., the daughter of John and Catherine Simon Georg, and was the last of a family of ten children. She was confirmed in the Accident Lutheran Church and later moved her membership to the Cove Lutheran Church, where she was a faithful member until death. On April 29, 1879, she was united im marriage to Henry J. Kolb. They were blessed with six children, five of whom survive. Her husband passed away May 12, 1934. One son, Norman, and one granddaughter also preceded her in death. Surviving children are - Margaret, wife of August Harman, and Melchoir, of Cove; Edwin, of Springs, Pa.; Austin, of Baltimore, and Elmer of Accident. She also leaves 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held in the Cove Lutheran Church, Friday at 2 p.m., by her pastor, the Rev. M. E. Frankie. Burial was made in the Accident Cemetery. The pallbearers were Lewis and Oscar Harman, Mahlon Brown, Henry Glass, Bert Griffith and Roy Harman. Meyersdale Republican, June 10, 1948
