Born Aug. 31, 1932, in Springs, he is the son of the late Edwin and Elva (Gelnett) Kolb. Also preceded in death by two brothers, Merle Kolb and Blair Kolb, and one sister, Mary Schrock. He is survived by his wife, Betty (Hostetler) Kolb; two daughters, Kathryn "Kate" Sanner and husband Larry, Rockwood; and Debra Thomas and husband D. Richard, Gordonville; one brother, Robert Kolb and wife Esther; one sister, Bernice Schrock and husband Allen and sister-in-law Mary Lou Kolb, all of Springs; six grandchildren: Kristin Atchison and husband Clifford, Kimberly Piccola and husband Kevin, Kelly Mostoller and husband Timothy, Jeffrey, Andrew and Justin Thomas; three great-grandchildren, Kyle and Laken Mostoller and Brady Atchison. Mr. Kolb was a member of the Springs Mennonite Church and was employed as a truck driver for Action Mining Inc., Otto Brick & Tile Works Inc., and Keystone Lime Co. prior to his retirement. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md. Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. at the Springs Mennonite Church. The Rev. Steven Heatwole officiating. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Springs Cemetery.
