"Tim" Konhaus, 75, of Berlin, died April 8, 1988, at his home. Born April 22, 1912, in Cumberland County, a son of the late Frank B. and Ruth (Blessly) Konhaus. Survived by his widow, Helen Marie (Strayer). Also survived by two children: Frederick G. of Stewartstown; and Mary Elizabeth, wife of Frederick Ellis of Richmond, Va.; also four grandchildren. He was a brother of Dr. Carol Konhaus of Berry County; Paul and Helen Rowland, both of Mechanicsburg; and Janet Strong of California. He was the former owner of Konhaus Funeral Home in Meyersdale for 38 years, now the Leckemby Funeral Home; founder of the Konhaus-Meyers Insurance Agency, now Konhaus-Robertson Agency; and founder of the K.M.K. Agency of Cumberland, Md. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church where he served on the church council for many years. He was on the original committee to establish the Meyersdale Community Hospital. A charter member of the Meyersdale Lions Club with 40 years perfect attendance. A current member of the Berlin Lions Club. He was on the committee to establish Maple Valley Park. A former Borough Council member and Municipal Authority member. Member of F.& A.M. 554, Hebron R.A.C. 272; Somerset County Funeral Director's Association; and P.F.D.A. Friends will be received at the Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale, Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Pamela Armstrong officiating. Memorial service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Trindle Springs Lutheran Church, Mechanicsburg. Interment, Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cumberland County.
