Konieczny (nee Leazier), 41, of Lorain, Ohio, died Dec. 22, 1999, at her home after a 16-month illness. Born Sept. 23, 1958, in Somerset. Had resided in Lorain most of her life. Mrs. Konieczny worked as a nurses aide at Bradley Bay Nursing Home in Bay Village for 10 years. Prior to that, she had worked at Avon Oaks Nursing Home in Avon for 10 years. Member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lorain. Served as a troop leader with Erie Shores Girl Scouts. Survived by her husband of 15 years Michael; son Rolando Maldonado Jr. of Lorain; daughters: Christina Maldonado of Lorain and Jennifer Konieczny of Lorain; 2 granddaughters; mother Donna Leazier (nee Saylor) of Lorain; father Jack Leazier of Toledo; sisters Carol Hatfield and Cindy Board, both of Lorain; brothers Jack Leazier of Elyria and Ronald Leazier of Lorain; maternal grandmother Ethel Saylor of Somerset and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harry Saylor, and paternal grandparents, James and Mary Leazier. Family received friends Thursday at the Gluvna Funeral Chapel, Lorain, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Rev.
