  KONIECZNY
  
  Rev. Father Hubert Konieczny, O.F.M.Conv., 78, Ellicott City, Md.,
  formerly of Hollsopple and Boswell, D.O.A. Oct. 19, 1986, at Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Sept. 12, 1908, in WilkesBarre, Pa., a son
  of Michael and Julianna (Nowatkowski) Konieczny.  Preceded in death
  by parents and three brothers.  Brother of Lilian Olexsy, Los
  Angeles, Calif.  Entered Franciscan Order on Aug. 15, 1924, at Corpus
  Christi Church, Buffalo, N.Y.  Had his philosophical and theological
  studies at St. Hyacinth College and Seminary, Granby, Mass.  Ordained
  into priesthood March 21, 1931.  Worked in various parish apostlales,
  including St. Ann, Hollsopple-Holy Cross, Jerome, (1948-1960,
  1977-1982); and St. Stanislaus, Boswell-St. Joseph, Jenners,
  (1961-1976).  Last assignment was with the Preaching Friars.  Exporta
  Tuesday 3 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, Boswell, after which body
  will lie in state until 5 p.m.  Visitation also from 7-10 p.m.
  Tuesday at St. Ann Church, Hollsopple, where Wake service will be
  held at 7:30 p.m.  Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m.
  Wednesday at St. Ann Church, Bishop James J. Hogan, D.D.. S.T.D.
  principal concelebrant, Father Berard Dudek, homilist.  Mass and
  interment Saturday in Los Angeles, Calif.  Arrangements in charge of
  Hoffman Funeral Homes, Boswell.  Memorial contributions to Franciscan
  Educational Burse, in care of St. Ann or St. Stanislaus churches,
  would be appreciated.
