  KOONTZ, Blaine W. 04/10/06 Daily American
  
   Blaine W. Koontz, 92, formerly a life-long resident of Rockwood, died April 9, 2006 at
  The Patriot. Born July 24, 1913, in Rockwood, the son of the late Charles R. and Tracie
  I. (Walker) Koontz. Also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. He is
  survived by his wife whom he married on March 29, 1942, Marion Elda (Keyser) Koontz. Also
  surviving are a son, Blaine E. Koontz, Philipsburg, and daughter-in-law, Deborah A.
  (Miller), granddaughter, Elaine Ann and a stepson, Donald R. Durst of Windber and
  daughter-in-law, Barbara (Anderson), step grandchildren, James, Jeri Galluci, J.W. and
  Jason and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Koontz was a
  retired rail-road employee of 35 years with the CXS Railroad. A 50- year member of the
  Brotherhood Maintenance of Way. He was a life member of the Rockwood Fire Department.
  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Robert H.
  Halverson Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Mark
  Ongley officiating. Interment in the Rockwood IOOF Cemetery. Contributions may be made to
  the Rockwood Fire Department, 630 Main Street, Rockwood, PA 15557.
