  KOONTZ
  
  Carl J. "Bud" Koontz, 73, Stoystown, died May 16, 1981 at Lee
  Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Sept. 22, 1907, in Connellsville, son of
  Charles an Esther (Von Moose) Koontz.  Preceded in death by parents,
  sisters Alice and Esther.  Survived by his widow, the former Dorothy
  Berkebile, whom he married May 28, 1938.  Brother of Mrs. Sarah
  Lynch, Hollsopple; Albert, Ferndale; Harry, Thomas Mills, Pa.; Mrs.
  Annabelle Hoffman, Ideal Park; and Mrs. Wilbur (Dorothy) Watt,
  Biloxi, Miss.  Retired employee of Sepcht's Hardware, Stoystown. 
  Member of Kantern United Methodist Church, Post 257 American Legion,
  volunteer fire company, former member of borough council and North
  Star Senior Citizens, all of Stoystown.  Friends were received Sunday
  evening and will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the
  Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at
  11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. J. Wesley Spahn officiating. 
  Interment, Otterbein Cemetery.
