  CHARLES E. KOONTZ
  
    Charles E. Koontz, 77, of Rockwood RD 3, died April 30, 1983, in
  the Somerset Community Hospital.
    He was born Feb. 26, 1906, in Rockwood, a son of Jerry and Tracy
  (Walker) Koontz.
    He is survived by one brother, Blaine Koontz, Rockwood; one sister,
  Mrs. Eva Shultz, Berlin.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel (Sterner) Koontz, in
  1977; by two sisters, two brothers and two infant daughters.
    He was a member of the United Church of Christ, Rockwood; a
  life-long member of the Rockwood Volunteer Fire Company; and a member
  of the Brotherhood of Railroaders.
    Funeral services were conducted in the William J. Wood Funeral
  Home, with his pastor, the Rev. Jack Hazlett officiating.  Interment,
  Rockwood l.O.O.F. Cemetery.
