   Fredrick A. Koontz, 70, Stafford, Conn., formerly of Stoystown, died July 6, 2006, in
  Southbridge, Mass., as a result of an auto accident. Born June 4, 1936, in Stoystown, son
  of Fred P. and Dorothy V. (Kautz) Koontz. Preceded in death by parents, brother Richard
  and daughter Susan. Survived by these children: Rex and wife, Mary Jean and Monica,
  married to William R. Shawley all of Stoystown and Tracey Koontz of Boswell.
  Grandchildren: William J. Shawley and wife Carrie, Matthew A. Shawley, Kelly R. and
  Abigail E. Baker. Also survived by former wife Pauline Koontz of Jennerstown, and brother
  Dwight K. Koontz and wife Ann of Latrobe. A 1954 graduate of Forbes High School. Retired
  machinist from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft, Hartford, Conn. A member of the Masonic Lodge
  and was an avid auto racing fan. A private service will be held at the convenience of the
  family. Arrangements by Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.
