  KOONTZ
  
  Hazel F. Koontz, 68, of Rockwood RD 3, died March 15, 1977, in the
  Somerset Community Hospital.  She was born Dec. 24, 1908, in Black
  Township, a daughter of Russell and Sadie Heckler Sterner.  She is
  survived by her husband, Charles E. Koontz, Rockwood RD 3; her
  mother, Mrs. Sadie Sterner of Rockwood RD 1; two brothers, Ralph and
  Floyd, both of Rockwood RD 1.  She was preceded in death by her
  father, Russell Sterner, April 18, 1934; also by two infant
  daughters, three brothers and two sisters.  She was a member of the
  United Church of Christ in Rockwood.  Her death terminates a marriage
  of 42 years.  Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral
  Home Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday where
  services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Don Judy
  officiating.  Interment, Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
