  KOONTZ 
  
  Irvin E. "Bill" Koontz, 85, of Confluence RD 3, died Nov. 9, 1998, at
  Meyersdale Manor, Meyersdale.  He was born Sept. 6, 1913, in Ursina, a
  son of the late Samuel and Mary (Firestone) Koontz.  In addition to
  his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Keslar)
  Koontz; an infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth, brothers, Ray, Warren, Ed
  and Scott, and sisters, Mabel Lingenfield, Marie Leer and Betty
  Blubaugh.  He is survived by a sister, Dorothy Cassidy of McKees
  Rocks.  He was retired from the B&O Railroad.  Friends will be
  received from 2 until 9 p.m. Wednesday (today) at the Humbert Funeral
  Home in Confluence, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday,
  with the Rev. Ron Follett officiating.  Interment, Kingwood IOOF
  Cemetery.
