  KOONTZ
  
  Kathryn E. Koontz, 83, Somerset RD 8, died March 14, 1987, at her
  residence.  Born Aug. 20, 1903, in Wellersburg, daughter of the late
  John and Mabel (Shaffer) Meyers.  Also preceded in death by husband,
  Harvey F.; daughters: Gladys Mowry, Mary Bush, Helen and Dorthea;
  four brothers and two sisters.  Survived by daughter, Mrs. Clarence
  (Jean) Hathaway, Somerset RD 8; 12 grandchildren, 29
  great-grandchildren, 18 great-great-grandchildren.  Sister of: Carl
  and Mrs. Frank (Josephine) Liberty, both of Stoystown; Mrs. Mabel
  Showman, Somerset.  She attended the Somerset Church of God.  Friends
  received after 7 p.m. Monday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home.  Services will be conducted Wednesday at
  10 a.m. in the Somerset Church of God, with the Rev. Dennis Buchanan
  officiating.  Interment, St. John's Cemetery.  Body will lie in state
  at the church from 9 a.m. until service time.  Memorials may be made
  to the Somerset Church of God or the Somerset Hospital In Touch
  Hospice Care Unit.
