Jean Kooser, 76, of Hannhill Rd., Hermitage, since 1971, formerly of Somerset, died Aug. 27, 2002 at her residence. Born in Altoona, Dec. 18, 1925 to the late Joseph M. and Daisy (Fletcher) Keifer. Also preceded in death by her husband Virl J. Kooser, Oct. 19, 1990. She is survived by her children: Mrs. Diane (William) Gold, Warren, Ohio, Mrs. Debra (James) Carlson, Kennerdale; John and his wife Linda Kooser, Sharpsville; six grandchildren: Lisa Conklin, Jackie Cowels, Jody Renslow, Scott O'Brien, Melissa Spangler and Megan Kooser; six great-grandchildren and brother, Robert E. Williams, Fredericksburg, Va. She was a graduate of Alexandria, Va. High School in 1943. In her younger years she enjoyed crocheting, bowling, volunteering with the Girl Scouts. She belonged to a card club. She was an Avon representative for 15 years since 1987, where she was a member of the President's Club where she received the Mrs. Albee Award 15 times for outstanding excellence in sales, service and leadership. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Donaldson-Mohney Funeral Home, 124 Main St., Sharpsville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Arlon Stubbe of Christ Lutheran Church officiating. Interment, Hillcrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers make donations to the American Lung Society. Daily American, August 29, 2002 [K1053]
