(Fluder) 09/30/06 Daily American Martha T. (Fluder) Koot, 91, Windber, died Sept. 28, 2006, at the Church of the Brethren Home, Windber. Born Feb. 7, 1915, in Windber, a daughter of Joseph and Magdalena (Kazmierczak) Fluder. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 67 years, Joseph S. Koot, who died July 19, 2006; son, Joseph F. Koot; brothers, Steve Fluder, John Fluder, Anthony Fluder and an infant Chester Fluder; sisters, Mary Lorenc, Cecilia Kostro, Lottie Ogilvie, Sister M. Lauriana (Pearl Fluder), Nell Lenczycki, Charlotte Mohr and special niece Dolores Fluder. Martha was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by children, Geraldine, wife of James Westervelt, Florida; Virginia, wife of Augustin Cano, Connecticut; and Madeline, wife of Martin Teli, Ohio. Also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by daughter- in-law, Donna (Newcomer) Koot, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Retired employee of Bestform Foundations, Windber. Member Polish Roman Catholic Union and Polish Union of U.S.A. and the Red Hat Society. Also a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber, where Martha was a member of the Rosary Society. Our mom, gentle in spirit, sharp of wit, ever giving, a friend to all, with a love for life and family and God that knew no bounds. She was able to find the good in everyone and everything. Gone now from our sight but never from our hearts. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek, V.F. officiating.
