Koppenhofer, 81, Warren and Cudjoe Key, Fla., formerly of Indian Lake, died Jan. 27, 2000 at Warren General Hospital. Born Jan. 19, 1919 in Winfield, N.Y., he was the son of the late William and Blanche (DeWitt) Koppenhofer. Survived by his wife, the former Betty Bean; children, Mrs. Les (Susan) Scenna, Amherst, N.H., Michael W., Enola, and W. Thomas Koppenhofer, married to the former Heidi Hostetler, Hooversville; and grandchildren, Ian, Carissa and Myles Scenna and Emily Koppenhofer. He was a postal inspector with the U.S. Postal Service from 1953-71. Former member of the St. George Episcopal Church of Hempsted, Long Island. Former borough council member where he served as president and mayor of Indian Lake in the 1970's. Veteran of the U.S. Army from 1941-45 with a discharge at the rank of sergeant. Visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Friday at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Warren, where service will be at 1 p.m., Saturday. Rev. Glenn Hamilton officiating.
