July 12,1906 - July 16, 2000 Charles A. "Manny" Kornprobst Sr., 94, Church of the Brethren Home, Windber, formerly of Seanor, died July 16, 2000, at the home. Born July 12, 1906, in Johnstown, he was a son of Harry and Emma (Stoup) Kornprobst. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 74 years, the former Katherine Schobel, Church of the Brethren Home, and these children: Charles Jr., married to the former Elizabeth Stefanick, Hollsopple; Harry, married to the former Magdalen Roman, Johnstown; John, married to the former Shirley Yourich, Windber; and Kathleen Figard, Seanor; also 15 grandchildren, and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Imogene Stafirski and Eva "Sal" Settlemire, both of Ohio. Charles was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. Wire Mill with 44 years' service. Services were held at l0 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, with the Rev. Warren Lewis Officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery.
