  KATHERINE KORNPROBST
  
  July 5, 1906 - January 7, 2001
  
    Katherine Kornprobst, 94, Church of the Brethren Home, Scalp
  Avenue, Johnstown, formerly of Seanor, died Jan. 7, 2001, at UPMC Lee
  Regional.
    Born July 5, 1906, she was the daughter of John and Kate Schobel. 
  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles
  "Manny" Kornprobst, who died in July 2000; five sisters, and one
  brother.
    She is survived by three sons: Charles Jr., married to the former
  Elizabeth Stefanick, Hollsopple; Harry, married to Magdalen Roman,
  Johnstown; and John married to the former Shirley Yourich, Windber
  and one daughter, Kathleen Figard, Seanor.  She is also survived by
  15 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and
  great-great-grand-children.  She was the last surviving member of the
  John Schobel family.
    Friends were received at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc.,
  Davidsville, where a funeral service was held Jan. 9, with the Rev.
  Warren Lewis officiating.  Interment, Richland Cemetery.
