  DR. WILLIAM PRESTON KORNS
  
  Dr. William Preston Korns, 58, Somerset, died Dec. 24, 2004, at his
  residence.  Born Oct. 12, 1946, in Somerset, a son of Dr. William R. and
  Frieda Louise (Weyand) Korns.  Preceded in death by parents; son, Jason M.
  Korns, who died Dec. 26, 1991.  Survived by wife, the former Mickee Jane
  Reppert to whom he was married 35 years; children: Justin W. Korns, married
  to the former Emily Riggs, Pittsburgh, Mrs. Mark (Erin L.) Kemp,
  Normalville, Miss Emily J. Korns, Somerset; grandsons, Gabriel and Logan
  Kemp.  Brother of Mrs. Barbara Korns-Swanson, Somerset, Richard E. Korns and
  wife, Judy Lynn, Clifton, Va., Mrs. Roberta Louise "Bobbi" Long, Orlando,
  Fla., Mrs. David (Linda Jean) Troll, Somerset.  Also survived by his little
  buddy, C.J. Pelliccione.  A 1964 graduate of Somerset High School.  Received
  his BS from California University and his MS and PhD from University of
  Pittsburgh.  He worked as an industrial arts teacher for North Star School
  District, retiring in 1999.  He also was a soccer referee for Penn Western
  and AYSO. He was former mayor of Somerset, as well as formerly on Somerset
  Borough Council.  He currently worked for Northwestern Human Services and
  Laurel Spring Center.  Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 9
  to 11 a.m., the time of service, Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral
  Home.  The Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating.  Interment, Beams Cemetery.
