Born Jan 21, 1921, in Jerome, a son of John and Maria (Bornyak) Kosco. He was preceded in death by parents and these brothers: Paul, who was killed in action in the Korean War; John and Joseph. Survived by one brother, Steve, married to Ona Henry, of Denver, Colo. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church of Jerome, the Hollsopple VFW Post 8861, the Jerome Polish Falcons of America Nest 556, Jenner Rod and Gun Club and the S.N.P.J. Lodge 289, Tire Hill. He was a charter member of the Jerome American Legion Post 802. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He served with the First Ranger Battalion. He was an employee of PennDOT, Somerset. Friends received from noon to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where prayer service will be held at 8:15 a.m. Friday, followed by funeral liturgy at 9 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Church, Jerome, the Rev. Thomas Gran. Interment, church cemetery. A graveside military service by the Jerome American Legion. Daily American, October 22, 1981 [K1078]
