  KOVACK
  
  William J. Kovack, 77, of Kantner, died May 8, 1990, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Aug. 7, 1912, in Quemahoning Township.  Son of Joseph
  and Barbara Kovack.  Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the
  former LaVerne Croyle Bauman; brothers, John and Andy, and sisters,
  Rose Golembeski and Barbara.  Survived by these children: Dennis,
  Carol Willis, Robert, Richard and Mrs. Richard (Sonya) Pugh, all of
  Somerset, and Mrs. John (Carolyn) Hitechew, Central City RD 1.  Nine
  grandchildren.  Brother of George of Redford, Mich., and Jewel
  Krupnik of Detroit, Mich.  Brother-in-law of Anna Kovack of Detroit,
  Mich.  Retired coal miner and draftsman for U. S. Steel Corp.  Member
  of UMWA Local 1742 and FOE, Somerset.  Family will receive friends
  from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  Stoystown, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Glenn E.
  Sadler.  Interment, Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.
