Kowalczyk, 46, 216 Melissa Drive, Coatesville, died April 22, 1996 in Brandywine Hospital. Born April 22, 1950, in Johnstown. Son of Rose DePetro Kowalczyk and the late Chester A. Kowalczyk. Survived by his wife, Catherine E. Jackson Kowalczyk, Coatesville; two sons, Douglas D. and Brian A., at home; sister, Mary Kay Johnson and brother, Chester Kowalczyk, both of Boswell. He was a salesman, self-employed for Build a Banner. Member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church and coached youth leagues for football and soccer. Graduate of Boswell High School in 1968. Graduate of California State University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in education in 1971. Received graduate degree in administration from the University of Maryland. Prior to Build a Banner, taught history grades 6-12 at Charles County Public Schools for 15 years. Service was held Friday morning at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Father John Oulds officiating. Robert A. Harris Funeral Home, Coatesville, in charge of arrangements.
