  Michael C. Kowalczyk, 69, 300 Garrett Ave., Boswell, went to be with
  his Lord April 22, 1988, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. 
  Born Oct. 1, 1918, in Ralphton, son of John and Stephenie
  (Scislowicz) Kowalczyk.  Preceded in death by parents, sister
  Josephine Saponsky, brothers Walter, Matthew and Stanley.  Survived
  by wife, former Josephine M. DeLuca; and daughters: Barbara of
  Bridgeville, Pa.; Carol, wife of James Pyle, Washington, Pa.; and
  Michele, wife of Alan Barnick, Boswell; grandchildren: Amy and Chris
  Barnick and Bryan and Kelly Pyle.  Brother of: Mary Gennuso,
  Brooklyn, N.Y.; Ann Jarosick, Chester and John, all of Boswell. 
  Member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Boswell; Boswell Post 461
  American Legion.  Army veteran of World War II.  Retired employee of
  former U.S. Steel Corp., Johnstown.  Friends received 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main St., Boswell, where wake
  service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.  Mass of Christian Burial
  at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Stanislaus Church, Father Hilary
  Brzostowsky, O.F.M. Conv.  Interment, church cemetery.
