Koziar, 53, of Penn Hills, died Wednesday November 24, 1982 in East Suburban Health Center, Monroeville, following a brief illness. Mr. Koziar retired from Jones and Laughlin Steel Corp. in 1981 after 28 years of service. He was employed in the Continious Galvanizing Department of the South Side Plant. He served in the armed forces during World War II and attained the rank of Sergeant prior to his discharge in 1947. Mr. Koziar was also a member of the congregation of Unity United Presbyterian Church in Plum Boro. He attended Greenville Twp. Consolidated Grammer School and Meyersdale Area High School. Mr. Koziar is survived by his wife Donna, four daughters: Christine Scott, Janet Mutschler, Kathryn and Margaret Koziar; three sons: Mark, Kenneth, and Matthew Koziar; four stepchildren David, Denise, Dean, and Deborah Johnson, and five grandchildren. His parents are the late Stephen and Vivian Koziar. Services were held on Saturday November 27, 1982 at The William F. Gross Funeral Home in Penn Hills. Interment was in Plum Creek Cemetery, Plum Boro. The Republic, December 9, 1982 [K1118]
