Kramer, 119 Nichols St., Clearfield, who began a law practice in Clearfield with his father, A.G. Kramer, in 1917, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1988, at the Clearfield Hospital. He was 94. Mr. Kramer was the oldest lawyer in Clearfield Borough. In 1970, he was one of four lawyers honored by the Clearfield County Bar Association for more than 50 years of service. Mr. Kramer was admitted to practice before the state Supreme Court in 1918. In addition to his long legal career in partnership with his father, his career in private practice and his affiliation with Robert Marsh in the firm of Kramer and Marsh, he served his community in ways that were many and varied. He was a long-time borough solicitor and served as solicitor for the county recorder of deeds and the county sheriff's office. He was also solicitor for the Clearfield County Commissioners. Mr. Kramer was elected president of the Clearfield County Bar Association in 1960, and in 1965 was named Boss of the Year by the Clear-Penn Chapter of the National Secretaries Association. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Bar and the American Bar associations. He was a former legal counsel for the Rural Electric Cooperative and helped organize the Kerr Addison Water Authority in 1950. Mr. Kramer was also legal adviser to the Irvona Water Authority following its incorporation in 1954 and represented it during the time of its construction.
