  Effie V. Krause, 76, of Dover, Pa., died Jan. 25, 1985 [sic], at 2 p.m. at
  her residence.  Born Feb. 22, 1909, in Somerset County, daughter of
  the late James H. and Cora M. (Sarver) Ware.  Preceded in death by
  husband, Carl Krause.  Survived by three children: Ruby M. Nicholas,
  York; Sally A. Herman, York; and Carl Krause Jr., Dover; seven
  grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; five sisters: Irene
  Berkebile, Stoystown; Myrtle Baird, Alverton, Pa.; Anna Menser,
  Friedens; Marion Zimmerman, Friedens; Nellie Klotz, Somerset; four
  brothers: Harry Ware, Friedens; Edison Ware, Dover, Pa.; Donald Ware,
  York; and Clyde Ware, Stoystown.  No viewing.  Funeral services Monday
  at 11 am. at the Betheny United Methodist Church, Dover, Pa. 
  Interment, Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York.  Family suggests
  memorials be made to the VNA Hospice Services, 218 East Market St.,
  York, Pa. 17403.
