Born March 26, 1972, Denville, N.J., he is the son of Harold "Howie" and Judy (Sipe) Krause of Berlin. He is preceded in death by his son, Connor, in July 2005; paternal grandfather, Harold Krause Sr., and maternal grandmother, Autrice "Peg" Sipe. He is survived by his parents; wife, Jennifer (Brown) Krause; and sons, Tanner and Collin Krause, all of Rockwood; maternal grandfather, Paul Sipe, Berlin; paternal grand-mother, Lois Krause, Berlin; brother Jason Krause and wife, Lori, Somerset; sisters, Mitzi and Melissa Krause, both of Berlin; mother-in-law Cyndie Mickey, Rockwood; and these brothers and sisters-in-law, Eric and Cherish Zelenske, Terry and Carrie Weimer, Cliff and Jamie Coddington, all of Rockwood; and Joe Brown and fiancˇ, Kayla Matieszyn, Somerset. Eric was a loving uncle to Alexandria, Jasmine and Tyler Krause, Somerset, Andrew Menear, Tyler and Travis Zelenske, Zachary Farkosh, and Nicholas and Gabrielle Coddington, all of Rockwood; and these aunts and uncles, Barb Geary, Berlin; Arlene Suder and husband, Terry, Garrett; Richard Sipe and wife, Anne, Marietta; Wayne Sipe and wife Claudine, Somerset; Larry Graves and wife, Mary Jean, Seattle; and many cousins and friends. He was a member of the Rockwood Fire Department, where he served as an EMT and was a past ambulance and fire captain. Eric was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 279 in Rockwood. He was a 1990 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School and was employed by Rockwood Manufacturing. He was an avid hunter and loved spending time with his boys. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Ken Davis officiating.
