Kreger, 64, of Markleton RD 1, died Sept. 2, 1995, at Somerset Hospital. He was born Oct. 20, 1930, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, a son of Alice (Ohler) Kreger Porterfield of Markleton and the late Benjamin Kreger. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Louise Nicklow, and three children: Ronald of Somerset, Robert of Markleton and Sharon Hoffman of Markleton; five grandchildren; three brothers: Raymond Kreger of Confluence, Paul Kreger and Roger Porterfeld of Ursina, and four sisters: Martha Nicholson and Loretta Rugg of Confluence and Shirley King and Ruth Ann Porterfield of Markleton. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Metz and Leora McClintock. Friends were received Sunday and Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where services will be held at 1 p.m. today, with the Rev. James Monticue officiating. Interment to follow in Old Bethel Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kingwood Church of God. Daily American, September 5, 1995 [K1173]
