  ALVIN KRETCHMAN
  
    Alvin Kretchman, 94, Frances Street, died Nov. 28, 1985, at Windber
  Hospital.
    He was born March 27, 1891, in West Salisbury, son of late Jeremiah
  and Minnie (Smalley) Kretchman.  He was preceded in death by three
  sisters and two brothers.
    He is survived by widow, former Florence Smearman; daughter,
  Evelyn, wife of Arthur Peters, Radcon Street; and grandchildren,
  Jeffrey Peters, married to former Bernadette Vogatsky, and Nancy
  Peters, both of Johnstown.
    Death ends marriage union of 66 years.  He was a retired miner from
  Berwind-White Coal Co.; member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church and Scalp
  Level Post 795, VFW.  World War I Army veteran.
    Friends were received Thursday at R. Owen Ketterer Funeral Home,
  Geistown, where service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Bruce
  Yelovich, officiating.  Interment, Richland Cemetery.
