  EDNA KRETCHMAN
  
    Edna (Tressler) Kretchman, 87, of Meyersdale RD 1, died Dec. 28,
  1982, at her home.
    She was born Oct. 17, 1895, in Summit Township, daughter of the
  late Calvin W. and Mary Ann (Miller) Tressler.  She was preceded in
  death by husband, John C., who died in 1947; a daughter, Mrs.
  Margaret (Kretchman) Phillips; and these brothers and sisters:
  Elizabeth Dickey, Orpha Horning Mentzer, John C., James M. and
  William R.
    She is survived by a son, John T.; eight grandchildren; 24
  great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  She was a
  retired school teacher for the Meyersdale school system, and a
  life-long member of the Amity United Church of Christ.  She was a
  charter member of the John C. Tressler V.F. W. Auxiliary.  Friends
  were received at the Leckemby Funeral Home, where services were held
  with the Rev. Lloyd Sechriest officiating.  Interment, Union
  Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions be made
  to the Meyersdale Public Library or to the Amity United Church of
  Christ.
