Also preceded in death by sisters, Mazy Kudasik and Helen Kudasik and brothers, Andrew and John Krishak and stepbrothers, John, Joseph and Andy "Rocky" Shima. Survived by wife of 63 years, the former Ann Shima, Windber; and children, Larry and wife, Denise, Ohio; Marilyn, wife of Ron Bassler, Central City; Elaine, wife of Joseph Fenton, South Fork; Andrew and wife, Cindy, Springmills; and George, Ohio. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother of Dorothy Stroka, Texas; Lillian Burdge, Texas; and stepsisters, Mary Galsih, Ohio; Helen Bober, Ohio; Susan Bibby, Windber. U.S. Army veteran of World War II, former member of Central City VFW, where he was a past commander, and Windber American Legion. Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. Friends received from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. The Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek V.F. Committal service St. John's Cemetery chapel, Windber, with military service by Windber VFW Ritual Team. Private internment at St. John's Cemetery, Central City. In lieu of flowers family suggests donations be made to Windber Regional Hospice in memory of "Barney."
